
Vlasov Sulaj, born in 1984 in Fier, Albania, is a renowned photographer known for his ability to tell compelling stories through images while addressing social, political, and artistic themes. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Tirana in 2008 and has since developed a unique style, combining meticulous composition, dramatic use of light and shadow, and a keen attention to detail. For 15 years, he has been actively involved in both print and visual media as a photojournalist. In 2015, he participated in the “Imago Mundi Mediterranean Routes” exhibition with his work “Inside the Frame”, showcasing his experimental installation medium with organic matter. In 2022, he won First Prize in the “Press & News” category at the 13th edition of the International FOKUS Awards. The following year, in 2023, he was awarded First Prize in the “Land” category at the 14th edition of the same prestigious competition. In 2024, Sulaj received the First Gold Award at the 20th edition of the International FIIPA Awards in Italy, in the same year he holds the personal exhibition “Sguardo Eterno” Cosenza, Italy, in 2025 he published the book “EPOS”, personal photo exhibition “EPOS” in Michigan, USA. Further solidifying his impact as a significant visual storyteller. Beyond his artistic work, he is dedicated to promoting and preserving Albanian visual culture, contributing to both national and international exhibitions. Currently, he lives and works in Tirana, where he continues to experiment and introduce new, inspiring perspectives to contemporary photography.
